No kid likes being assigned chores, but it’s important to teach our kids responsibility early in life. Kids should be taught chores as early as two years of age. This will help them develop organizational skills and give them a better understanding of what’s expected from them as they grow older.

Children at risk as winter approaches the Middle East

With winter just days away, millions of children affected by the ongoing conflicts in Syria and Iraq are facing a winter without warm clothing and heating, UNICEF warns. The UN agency for children emphasizes that many children already live on the brink, internally displaced within their own country or living as refugees in neighboring countries. Forced to flee their homes with little or no possessions, these families are increasingly vulnerable to the freezing temperatures and storms common to the region where UNICEF is responding.

A 360 view into how safe water changes communities

In Peru, one in seven people (many of whom are children) do not have access to safe, drinkable water and are susceptible to water-borne illness. To draw attention to the lack of access to safe drinking water, the Clorox brand team and AOL partnered to create a 360 video to allow others to immerse themselves in a community in Peru that has benefitted from a program Clorox developed to address this problem and drive donations to it.
