Written by Danielle Anderson-Craig and illustrated by her friend and fellow teacher Carly Dooling, The Magic of We is a a tender tale of blossoming friendship in which two children meet and are transported into a world where the ordinary becomes fantastic and the known becomes surreal as their shared experience creates unlimited imagination and play.

Poet and kindergarten school teacher Danielle Anderson-Craig was a longtime friend of organ and keyboard player Ikey Owens, best known as the accomplished musician and producer from the gold-record selling Mars Volta and platinum-selling Jack White band. Anderson-Craig wrote the book as an homage and a celebration of his life. The themes in The Magic of We are universal and span across any age range.
